Brisbane Airport (BNE)

Australia is one of the strict countries when it comes to smoking and our airports have been hard hit with legislation to prevent people from doing just that.

Airport Maps available on the official website do not show any smoking areas making them slightly harder to find.

Domestic

The Brisbane Domestic terminal is a long building with entrances only on the ground floor.

With QANTAS at one end and Virgin Australia at the other the building is virtually divided up between the two carriers (with others in the middle).

Outdoor smoking area at the end of Virgin Australia arrivals area.  The area has been fenced off but does have some seating and minimal covering.

There is no smoking inside the domestic terminal building so make sure you leave yourself enough time to clear security.

International

A smoking balcony is located on level 3 after security located behind The Coffee Club (towards gates 75-79) for outgoing passengers.

For incoming passengers there is no smoking area airside.  Areas are available outside the terminal doors.  Exit and turn right and at the end of the path where the terminal transfer bus stops there is a fenced off area to smoke at the end of the terminal building.
